A Secret Trip Without Consent

I recently went on a solo trip without my partner’s knowledge. I planned it as a surprise but ended up feeling awful about not telling him beforehand. We have this unspoken rule where we always discuss plans together, and breaking that made me feel really guilty. Is this just insecurity talking, or is it truly something to worry about?
