A Petty Lie About My Work Schedule

I work from home and usually have a lot of flexibility with my hours. But there was this one day last week when I needed to run some errands during the afternoon, so I told my partner that I had an important meeting all day long. It’s not like it’s a big deal, running errands isn’t exactly thrilling, but lying about something so trivial makes me feel guilty. He never pushes for specifics about work calls or meetings, and this time was just one of those moments where I felt the need to justify my day off from being productive at home. Now every little fib worries me.
