Late Night Sex and Loneliness

I'm married but work nights, which means my wife sleeps through our peak sex hours. Last night, I finally woke her up for a quickie right before dawn when she'd just start to stir. It was raw, messy stuff, my fingers inside her as soon as her eyes opened, then straight into barebacking with her back against the cold wall of the bathroom while the house was silent and dark. We never really slowed down once she started panting, only stopping long enough for me to slide out just in time so I could thrust again seconds later. When it was over, we both seemed too exhausted for cuddles or conversation. Is this normal? Sometimes it feels like we're sneaking around instead of being married.
