The Lie About Buying Groceries

Needed to get groceries last night, so I said I’d go to the store down the street from our house. But ended up going to a different one way across town. Had no real reason for it. Just felt like lying about such a small thing was something to hide and feel guilty over today. Spent an hour there buying what we needed, plus some junk food. Got home late. My partner noticed I bought stuff from somewhere else but didn’t ask questions. Guess they knew and let me off the hook for no reason. Feels petty now.
