Ex Boyfriend's Unexpected Move ...

So I guess I'm officially out of the relationship. It was rough because he really seemed to care about me, but in the end it turned out he had a hard time with my transition and just couldn't get over it... Anyway, last night was supposed to be our breakup dinner. We met at this nice restaurant downtown that we both liked. He ordered dessert for us, said he wanted to make one final effort... But then he pulled out an old binder full of photos from before I started transitioning. I thought maybe he had them as a way to remember our time together or something like that. But nope... It was clear what he was up to, showing me images of myself when I looked more masculine, telling me how much happier we could be if things were 'different.' He wanted us to go back somehow. Needless to say, I couldn't even finish the dessert and left right away... Ended up at a friend's place afterward and just sat there staring at my phone for hours. It was like everything we had went down the drain over his insecurities about me being trans. Sigh... Guess this is really it then. Can't go back in time, no matter how much someone wants to pretend they can.
