My Unexpected Surprise on My Birthday

I’ll admit it, I’ve always been somewhat adventurous with my partner in our late marriage years. But this past birthday, he really outdid himself. I woke up to a note telling me to meet him at the hotel down the street from where we live. He’s been staying there for weeks under the guise of meetings. When I arrived, instead of finding just him, there was someone else with us, another older gentleman who is his close friend and my old college buddy! It was incredibly exciting seeing them together, and I loved watching how they interacted with me that night. The best birthday surprise ever!
