a little fib

so i was at this party and there was this cute nonbinary person and i got a bit tipsy, but i knew they were into someone else. so i kinda made up stories to make myself seem cooler than i am. like saying i worked as a programmer in tech when really i'm still figuring out my career path. felt pretty silly after, cause i know me and everyone around me is just figuring shit out. the thing is, it bothered me way more than lying to impress someone else ever has. don't wanna be dishonest but sometimes fitting in feels like more pressure
