Caught in a Kink Twist

So last night, me and Jamie (my partner) were chilling at home, just catching up over some drinks. We decided to spice things up a bit with some light roleplay stuff we hadn't tried before. I thought it would be fun to explore this one kink where I play along as if I'm someone else, kind of like when you slip into another character in your head during sex, but really playing the part out loud and acting it out too. We got a bit carried away with how deep we went into the roleplay. Before I knew it, things turned way hotter than expected, with me fully embracing this alter ego that has some rather kinky tastes. It was intense, fun, but also left us both slightly stunned by just how far we were willing to go in the heat of the moment. Now I'm wondering if others do something like this and take it so seriously too? Or is this just a one-off thing for us? Any thoughts on whether playing such an extreme role can still be healthy and enjoyable between partners, or should we keep it toned down a bit next time? Let me know what you think!
