Caught in the Act with a Student, and My Partner Noticed

I never thought I'd be writing this confession, but here goes. I'm a high school teacher and my relationship is open-ended, which means it's okay to explore outside of our primary bond. Last week, during an after-school tutoring session, things got heated between me and one of my students. She's in her twenties now, much older than the typical age for high schoolers, but I hadn't seen her as a potential partner before this moment. As we worked through some complex math problems together, there was a spark that grew into something more tangible. We ended up spending the evening at a hotel down the street from campus, both of us feeling excited yet anxious about what it all meant for our professional and personal lives. The funny part is, when I got home later, my partner had texted me photos she took through my bedroom window, showing another visitor leaving earlier that night, turns out, she was testing my boundaries too! It's been an eye-opening experience, to say the least.
