i lied about the coffee

so i got this new job at the uni and had to meet my colleague there for a caffeine run but really just needed a moment alone after a bad breakup. went in, ordered a double espresso, took it with me to this little park nearby, sat on that bench under the big oak tree... felt like i could almost breathe again when i was away from campus. then later came back and told my colleague i spilled it walking out of the cafe. she bought me another one but really i just poured half of it down a storm drain while sitting there thinking about everything.
