A One-Night Stand That Got Too Close

Last week was the craziest I've ever had here at the bar. It all started when a new regular dropped in, let's call her Jess, who has this aura of mystery and allure about her. She ordered an expensive whiskey and struck up a conversation with me that felt more intimate than anything I usually engage in behind the counter. We ended up chatting until closing time and after a few drinks, it was clear there was chemistry between us. I invited her back to my place, and we had this incredible night filled with passion and laughter. But then came the awkward part, she left early morning like nothing happened between us. It felt weird not knowing where things stood afterwards, so I messaged her later that day asking if she wanted to do it again sometime. No reply. Is it just me or are one-night stands supposed to be a closed chapter? Am I overthinking the whole situation, or should I give her some space and see if she reaches out instead? It's been driving me crazy not knowing what this means.
