Experiment with My Partner

So I've been really feeling a shift lately in the bedroom with my partner, Jane. We're both 25 and have been together for about two years now. Everything else is great, but there's this one thing that just keeps nagging at me, maybe it's curiosity or maybe something deeper. So we decided to explore some roleplay scenarios recently. The first time was pretty tame, I think we were both a bit nervous and unsure where to draw the line. We watched some porn for inspiration and then tried our hand at some light domination/submission stuff, with me being the dominant one. Jane took it surprisingly well, even seemed to enjoy it. It made me wonder if there's more to discover here. Then we moved on to something a bit edgier, still consensual of course. We decided to do this sort of CNC thing where I pretend to not want her consent. The setup was that she had done something wrong and needed punishment for it, but everything outside of the roleplay is understood as fully mutual. It's all pretty specific and there's a lot we talk about beforehand to make sure everyone knows what’s okay. The first time felt really intense, Jane cried some, but she also came harder than ever before. I feel conflicted about it though; part of me feels like this is the most intimate thing we’ve done together, something that binds us deeply in a way nothing else has yet. But another part of me wonders if there's something wrong with enjoying seeing someone cry for pleasure. I know it’s normal to have these kinds of things be taboo or awkward to talk about, but I just feel like I need some perspective on this. Is what we're doing weird? Or is there actually a term for this and it’s not uncommon at all? And how do I reconcile the emotional side of things with my feelings of guilt? Am I crossing lines I shouldn't be? We both consent to everything, but the edge here feels really thin sometimes. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
