A Night Off Work Got More Eventful Than Expected

So, this past Friday night was my first off in weeks. Thought I’d just chill at home and catch up on some sleep since work has been hectic lately. But then the phone rings and it’s my girlfriend, let’s call her Jane, sounding a bit drunkish and asking if she can come over. Figured it couldn’t hurt, thought about how long we haven’t really had time for anything besides quickies at odd hours between shifts. Once she got here, I was kind of half-asleep on the couch when she starts whispering these rather bold requests into my ear, you know, all that stuff that usually happens later in a relationship. At first, I was like 'uhhh, sure?' but then the wine kicked in and suddenly it felt natural to just go with it. We ended up spending the night making up for lost time... well, if you can call it that since we didn’t actually have any scheduled this month! It’s funny how sometimes the most random moments are when these things happen. Now back at work I’m trying not to laugh every time I see Jane's number on my phone. Anyway, just thought I'd share because everyone deserves a night off from their boring routine once in a while.
