A New Side to Myself

I've always been pretty okay with my life as it is, not in a relationship, mostly happy with my job & friends. But recently I found myself drawn to BDSM scenes online & even tried out some light bondage play at home by myself. It felt weirdly liberating yet also kinda scary. Is this just me overthinking things or could there be something deeper going on here? Am i repressing desires or discovering a new part of myself? Not sure how to process it all honestly.
