When I Gave In To My Desires

I just broke up with my partner of five years and being a stay-at-home parent hasn't made it any easier. We were trying for another child, but we hit a rough patch. The pregnancy tests all came back negative again this month, and the doctors suggested we give it more time. But sometimes I just feel so lost without him around. Last night was especially tough; I couldn't sleep at all. So I decided to try something different. I went into our walk-in closet where he kept his clothes and toys from when we were together. There, I found a pair of handcuffs that I had seen him use with me once before but never really understood why. I guess I just needed some kind of release tonight. So, I sat on the floor and put one wrist in each cuff, fastening them around the necks of his old clothes hangers. I started to feel this incredible rush as my hands were restrained and my body was left free to move about. The weightlessness felt surreal but also grounding, like a strange mix of vulnerability and control. I thought back to all those times he had tied me up during our games, how it had always been about trust and letting go. But tonight, it was just me in the dark closet, my own fantasies coming true without him here. As I explored myself in these restraints, I felt a deep longing for his touch that made the pleasure more intense but also bitter with regret. It's funny how sometimes things come back full circle, like when you're trying to create something new together and instead end up revisiting old desires. I'm still not sure if this was healthy or just a moment of escapism from my current reality, but it felt good for the time being. And who knows? Maybe I'll find other ways to reclaim these parts of myself as I move forward without him.
