Conflicted by Roleplay

I met Sarah four years ago when we both joined a small local medical practice. We had an instant connection over our shared love for challenging cases and the human side of medicine. It took us two years to start dating, but since then, our relationship has been solid, filled with mutual support and understanding. Recently, though, things have changed. Sarah discovered a new interest in roleplay scenarios that push our limits, she enjoys playing out hospital-themed fantasies where I'm the doctor and she's the patient. At first, it was playful and light-hearted, but as her requests became more specific, I found myself agreeing to play along with some pretty taboo scenarios. Tonight, for instance, she wanted me to pretend to be a cold and distant physician conducting a routine check-up on her, using my actual medical knowledge against the fantasy. She lay on an exam table at home, in just a thin gown, as I checked her vitals meticulously, barely making eye contact with her. Each time I pretended to find something 'off' about her health, she would get anxious and ask for more thorough examinations. The roleplay was intense and exhilarating in ways I hadn't expected, but it left me feeling conflicted afterward. On one hand, it was a thrilling way to explore our kink together. But on the other, it felt like we were playing with fire, what if we take it too far? Am I being overly cautious? Or is there something unhealthy about this kind of roleplay that I'm missing?
