Exploring Beyond Boundaries

I recently went on a date with someone new while in an open relationship. We had agreed beforehand that it was purely exploratory and nothing serious. The sex was amazing, but afterward, I felt oddly detached, like I was watching myself from the outside. It wasn't about being unfaithful or disloyal; more like trying to understand if there's a limit to what 'exploratory' can mean in non-monogamous relationships. Did I cross a line by enjoying it so much? Now I'm questioning how far emotional investment goes when you're not committed long-term.
