A Little White Lie

Lied to Mark about a patient's condition once. Said they were stable when I thought he was going downhill fast, but had no proof yet. Just wanted him off my back so I could focus on another case. But now every time I see him, all I think is: did the outcome change because of me? That's something I can't erase or justify to myself.
