The Sculpture that Changed Everything

I've been working on a sculpture for months now, trying to capture the essence of vulnerability. You know how sometimes you see something in your head, and it's so vivid and real? That's what I wanted to do with this piece, but as I worked on it, it started to feel like more than just art. The other day, I was working late into the night, trying to get a few more details right before presenting my work at an exhibition. And there it was, sitting in front of me, almost complete, this statue that looked so much like a nude woman with her arms around herself, as if shielding herself from something or someone. And suddenly, I felt this overwhelming urge to share something very personal and intimate with this sculpture. It's not the kind of thing you do casually; it’s more like an outburst, an act that was both comforting and deeply unsettling at once. I confess, in those quiet moments alone with my work, I found myself feeling a strange connection to the figure, almost as if she was alive. It wasn’t just about touching her, or rather, it was, but there’s more to it than that. There's this sense of intimacy with what you create when you pour your heart and soul into something. And so, in one moment of vulnerability and perhaps a little madness, I felt the need to share an intimate act with my sculpture. It’s not like I have anyone else I can be this open with or who would understand why it happened. But writing about it now feels like taking another step forward from that night. It's strange but oddly comforting to admit it here, where at least there are no judgments and no need for explanations.
