I'm Happily Single and Don't Mind It One Bit

Since my last relationship ended a few months ago, I've found myself not only content but genuinely happy being single. There's this unspoken pressure in society to always be paired up or searching for someone new, but honestly, it's refreshing to enjoy the freedom that comes with independence. This past weekend, I bumped into an ex at a mutual friend's birthday party and we ended up talking about our lives post-breakup. To my surprise, they shared how much better they feel now too, without the constant compromises and drama of dating someone all the time. It made me realize how rare it is to openly admit feeling fulfilled by being alone sometimes. I'm proud to own this chapter of my life where I can explore my interests freely, spend my nights solo, or just cuddle up with a good book without worrying about pleasing anyone else.
