That One Time With My Boss

I started working night shifts at this small office downtown just after turning eighteen. It was pretty boring really, filing papers and answering phones, but the place had great hours for someone my age looking to work and finish high school. My boss, let's call her Rachel since that’s not close to her real name, she was in her late twenties or early thirties, I lost track. She was married with kids, always stressed about work but kind of sweet too. The thing is, I had a crush on her from day one. Then one night everything changed. We were closing up after hours and I mentioned how tired I was since I had to wake up early for class the next morning. Rachel, she just looked at me with this intense stare and asked if it would make a difference if she kissed me, just as friends of course. I mean, of course! That’s what I told her. But then we started playing out this weird scenario where I was like some kind of intern or something who's learning the ropes from her. We kissed more after that night and even held hands under the desk once or twice when I came in late. But we kept it professional the rest of the time.
