A One-Time Encounter with an Enticing Student

I met one of my students at a conference this week. We had a professional chat and then, unexpectedly, we ended up sharing drinks after hours. There was an undeniable attraction, but I reminded her that as her professor, it would be inappropriate to pursue anything more than friendship. She understood, but there’s no denying the chemistry between us. It’s just one of those things you let pass without dwelling on it too much.
