Law School and Open Relationships?

So I’m a first-year law student in this open relationship deal. Tonight my partner Jane and I had our weekly meet-up with Alex at this cozy coffee shop. It’s funny, everyone assumes we just sit around discussing case files, but tonight was more about the legalities of handcuffs and blindfolds. Afterward, as Jane drove off to her place, I couldn’t help but wonder if I should be focusing on my studies a bit more or is it normal for law students to balance their textbooks with this kind of... academic research? Anyone out there in law school too who deals with real-life case studies like these?
