The Unspoken Mistake
Anonymous Desperate Sneak #732 · Cheating & Affairs
I'm a nurse in my mid-thirties and I recently did something that's been eating me up inside. For years now, I've felt an unfulfilled need in my marriage, but lately it escalated beyond just longing for physical intimacy. During one of my night shifts, there was this patient, let’s call her Anna, who caught my eye right away. She was a bit older than me, late forties or early fifties, and had a certain grace about her that I found incredibly appealing. We started talking during her check-ups and the conversations were always engaging, like we could just connect on an emotional level that I hadn't experienced in years with my wife. It was purely platonic at first, but as our visits continued, there was this undeniable chemistry between us. One night, after another particularly deep conversation where she expressed how lonely she felt too, something snapped inside me. We were both clear it would be a mistake and that neither of us would act on any deeper feelings, just one moment to help alleviate the loneliness we each carry. That night after my shift ended, I couldn't shake her from my mind. And so, despite all logic telling me not to, I met up with Anna for coffee at an off-hour café near the hospital. It was there that things went beyond our mutual understanding and a boundary was crossed. We shared something intensely intimate, a kiss that ignited emotions I hadn’t felt in years, but it was fleeting, we both knew what we were doing was wrong. The guilt has been overwhelming ever since. I don't regret the moment for how much it helped ease my mind of constant desire, yet every day feels like a lie to my wife.
