so here i am in my 50s and not really looking to change that but uh one night at this place downtown where the band is always good and people are nice. met this girl who's got these bright eyes and just a certain something about her. we clicked right away over drinks and laughs it was like talking with an old friend or something just felt so easy. so when she suggested walking home together after everything ended it seemed natural enough but i dont know why the sudden urge to lean in for that kiss happened. its not like i feel any real longing or anything just this weird moment of being swept away by the music and the laughter and her smile. we both kinda stepped back with a laugh and agreed on just being friends which is probably best anyway
