i had a thing for one of my students

so yeah i have this confession that's been bothering me for weeks. last semester i met her in my gender studies class. she was so smart and funny, we clicked right away. after class i invited her to coffee to chat more about the course stuff but also just get to know each other better. turned out she had a lot of interesting ideas beyond what we talked about in lectures. we hit it off really well. we met up a few times outside of school over coffee or drinks. i'm older, like 50+, and single so i tried not to read too much into it but felt drawn to her. one night at dinner she said she had feelings for me too and wanted to explore this more. we were both clear about keeping things discreet at first, no office hours meetings etc. it started off slow with just holding hands, some kissing. then one night i invited her back to my place after a movie. we ended up getting into bed and it got more physical. she was like a kitten in heat, so eager. i took her virginity that night, which felt intense, but also kinda weird - it crossed a line. afterwards she seemed unsure if this is what she wanted, said it happened too fast. we tried to keep things casual after that. i feel bad about taking advantage of her inexperience even though she was an adult, 18+. my student is struggling with whether this relationship was just a fling or meant something more. im not sure either and need advice if i should push for more from her now.
