A Lie About Laundry

I lied to my partner about doing the laundry last weekend. I told them I did it on Saturday because they had mentioned feeling stressed about piles of clothes everywhere, but in reality, I procrastinated and watched a movie instead. When I got around to actually sorting and washing everything on Sunday afternoon, I felt relieved but also guilty for causing them unnecessary worry just because I couldn't motivate myself earlier. It's strange how such a small fib can weigh on me like this.
