At Work...

I’m feeling really conflicted about something that happened at the office this week. I work in a relatively conservative environment, so everything’s usually pretty tame and professional. But there’s one coworker…let’s call him Mike, he’s in his mid-thirties, has been with us for years, but we never really clicked until recently... We started hanging out more over lunch, just casual stuff, like talking about work stress and personal life. Last week, I was feeling really down, I had a lot on my plate at home, plus some issues came up at the office, and he noticed. He offered to listen and said if I needed anything, he’d be there for me... It felt good having someone supportive in such an unexpected place. But then we got stuck late one night with no one else around. I had been stressed all day, and Mike kept asking if I was okay. We ended up talking more and the tension between us built, there were a few close calls that made me uncomfortable but also excited... We both said yes to what happened next, but now I’m wondering if it crossed some kind of professional line. It’s like we got caught in each other’s worlds for just one moment, but now it feels wrong... Did we go too far? Should we pretend nothing ever happened or try to make things right somehow? What do you guys think?...
