Secrets in the Studio

I work from home as a freelance designer and usually keep things pretty buttoned up. But last week, I had a client visit for an all-day meeting that ended with us getting into some really steamy territory. We were both hitting our creative blocks so hard we turned to playful banter and teasing each other. It started off harmless but the flirting got more intense as the day went on until it was clear neither of us could focus anymore. So, I suggested we take a break for lunch but hinted at something else too. We ended up finding a quiet spot in the office that afternoon where we gave into our desire and had wild make-out sessions behind closed doors. It felt exhilarating, like forbidden fruit at first since he's my client and everything, but there was no stopping us once we started. I wanted him just as much as he wanted me and we both knew it would never happen again outside of that day. So when the moment passed, we went back to business as usual with a lingering attraction. That’s the thing though, even now it still feels electric, thinking about how our professional relationship turned into this secret thrill for one day only. Maybe that makes me bad or something but I wouldn’t change a thing.
