It's Not Who I Thought I'd Be

So uh, I've been thinking about this a lot lately. You know how sometimes you just do something and it sticks with you? Well, last weekend was one of those times for me. It wasn't planned or anything, but there we were, at a party, and suddenly things just... happened. I met someone new, let's call him Alex. He seemed nice enough from the start, easy to talk to, and I guess that's all it took for me to feel comfortable with him pretty quickly. We ended up in one of those empty rooms where everyone goes to escape the crowd for a bit, and before I knew it, we were kissing. It felt weird at first, but then... something changed inside me. Maybe it was just how much I wanted this moment to be special or meaningful somehow, but suddenly all these thoughts started racing through my mind about not wanting to let him go. I didn't want the night to end. We did more than kiss that night, things got heated pretty fast. The thing is, after that, I've been thinking a lot about this guy and what it could mean if we tried something serious. It's so different from how I usually approach dating or relationships; I thought I was fine being single for now, but here I am questioning everything. I feel bad for even saying this out loud, like admitting that maybe deep down, I'm not as content with my life choices as everyone thinks. What does it say about me that I got so caught up in something unexpected and fleeting? It's like I've stumbled into a place where all these feelings and desires exist now.
