A Night Off Duty...

So last week, I had this date with Mark... yeah, he's the one from the cafe who seems to have mistaken my profession for something else entirely. Anyway, we went out, and it was nice enough, nothing really sparked, but he left me a little present after dinner, an invitation for roleplay. Apparently, he thought playing doctor would be hot... I told him that if it involved any actual nursing, he'd end up with IV fluids and no one to blame but himself. We decided on some CNC instead. It was mostly just talking and teasing, which suited me fine since my hands were otherwise occupied... But the real kicker came at the end when he wanted to tie me down to his bed frame like I was a patient in an old movie. Now, I’m not really into that sort of thing, but it did make for some interesting conversation about consent and role boundaries... So here's my question: how do you handle these kinds of situations where the other person’s idea of fun isn’t quite your cuppa? Do you let them push things further or just say no outright? I'd love to hear from others...
