my boyfriend and im engaged its kinda weird cus we met online so dont know his family or anything yet but anyways my mom wasnt happy about him at first and told me to dump him which just made me even more sure i loved him. she tried to get in the way by acting like i needed her permission for everything. one day we were talking about it and he said that he understood how hard this is for me, but he wants us to be able to make our own choices together. it was a really tough moment cus i felt torn between my love for him and my need to respect my mom who raised me. finally, we decided that no matter what my mom thought, its important for us to take control of our lives together. we spent the night being super intimate, making sure were on the same page about everything.
