Last Night's Quickie Before Moving Out

I was packing up my apartment last night, moving out after a year of marriage that ended in divorce this month. My ex-husband decided to surprise me with an unexpected visit and asked if we could just have one more time before I left for good. Despite the pain, I agreed because it would be closure, right? We hadn't been physical since our breakup two months ago. He came over around midnight. I opened the door after ensuring no neighbors were around to see us. He looked nervous but eager as he entered and shut the door behind him. His hands were shaking slightly as they brushed past mine in that familiar handshake turn of a hug we fell back into for old times' sake. Soon, our clothes hit the floor in record time - I had no patience for foreplay. I could feel his length pressing against me as he pulled my shirt over my head and kissed along my collarbone. He was inside me within minutes on the bedroom floor amidst crumpled boxes of my belongings, thrusting rhythmically but not urgently. Each movement sent conflicting waves of sadness and longing through me until I came around him with an almost painful shudder. Afterwards, we lay there panting and quiet for a long moment before he got up quickly to get dressed again without saying anything more than 'goodnight'. It felt final somehow in that quick encounter. But is it normal to be left wondering if you'll ever feel that way about anyone else? Am I being irrational thinking this could have worked with time?
