Ex-Hubby's New Toy

So, I got divorced a couple months ago. It wasn't exactly amicable, but it ended up being pretty standard stuff, money issues and infidelity. Yeah, him cheating was the final straw for me. But you know what’s funny? I’m not mad about the affair, not really. He's been an unexciting stick in bed for years now. I mean, there were reasons why he cheated besides boredom, but it wasn't like either of us had anything against each other... until we did. Fast forward to after all the paperwork is done and settled. He gets custody of the house, which was a deal-breaker for me anyway. But here's where things get interesting, now that I'm on my own, my sex life has exploded in ways I didn't know were possible before. My ex-husband hasn’t been dating much since we split; he’s too focused on keeping all his assets together. I’m the opposite, finding new freedom to explore and try different things. Last week, a friend set me up with someone she knew, but I wasn’t expecting anything major from it. We had coffee, small talk, nothing remarkable at all. But then he messaged later that night asking if we could grab drinks instead of coffee the next time around. He's attractive and easy to talk to, I was intrigued. When I got home after our second date, there was a package for me. A very specific gift, a new toy for my vibrator collection. It came with no card or note, just this present. Now here’s where things get interesting: it’s not the kind of thing someone buys randomly off Amazon. It's rare and expensive, the type you have to order from specialty stores, ones that don't ship unless you specify exactly what you want. And guess whose name was on the delivery confirmation? My ex-husband’s. Yeah, I’m confused too. At first, I thought he was trying to buy back my affection or something. But after a week of thinking it over and feeling pretty damn sure about not wanting him back romantically, I started thinking maybe he's just having fun watching me explore this new side of myself that I never had the confidence to before. He’s probably living vicariously through his former wife now, enjoying seeing her enjoy things without him. I haven't reached out yet, this isn’t about me asking for advice or anything. It's just kind of floating in my head, wondering if there’s a way to talk it over with him and find a healthy place to leave it behind. But at the same time, I don't want to stifle this newfound excitement either.
