Was It the Right Call?

I recently split from my ex and it's been tough. We were together for three years, but things just weren’t clicking anymore. A few days before we called it quits, I went pretty far with a stranger, someone who was into me in ways my ex never had been. At the time, it felt like an escape, almost a relief to be seen differently. But now that everything's cooling down, I'm second-guessing myself. Did I just make a huge mistake or did this really help clear things up? Would love some advice on whether what I did is normal when ending a relationship.
