The Unexpected Attraction

I had a patient today who was absolutely gorgeous. Not just in looks, there was something about her energy and the way she spoke that made it impossible not to notice. We were alone in the room for most of our shift, discussing some sensitive medical details. The more I talked with her, the harder it became to keep professional. There's this weird connection when someone is so vulnerable and honest; it makes them incredibly attractive, even if they're just a patient. It’s probably just silly infatuation from seeing her in such an intimate context... but it feels too real to be that simple.
