Afternoon Relief During My Shift

I never imagined myself needing relief during work hours. A nurse's life is full of unexpected challenges, but last week I was faced with something completely out of the norm. My shift was winding down when I felt this overwhelming tension building up inside me, my ex had left a voice message that night saying he wanted to talk again, and it brought back all these feelings of hurt and desire. The memories were too much for me in my state, and before I knew it, I found myself craving release desperately. It was a quiet ward, with not many patients around at the time. After making sure everything was covered up by an emergency curtain, I slid out from under my scrubs to feel the cool air against my skin. My hands started moving over me almost of their own accord; each touch brought back more of those intense moments we'd shared that seemed light years away but still felt so present within me. I let myself go fully then. Every stroke and circle sent shivers down my spine, reminding me vividly how much I still longed for someone who wasn't there anymore. My fingers worked faster now, each movement more urgent than the last as I closed my eyes to focus only on that moment. Soon enough, pleasure built up until it was unbearable, and when climax hit, it felt like an explosion of sensations washing over me. That rush of relief washed away some of the lingering pain and confusion about where things would go from here with us. But for a fleeting second, at least, I got to escape into a place only I could control.
