Caught in the Lie of Laundry Soap

So last week, I ran out of laundry soap and didn't want to make another trip to the store. So I told my wife that we had a full stock left. Turns out she counted it herself and saw zero bottles. She played along until dinner when she dropped the bombshell with our kids there, asking me if I thought they were too young to hear about lying for convenience. We both laughed till tears but man, was I embarrassed!
