Bartending and Breakups

Ended my relationship two weeks ago. We were together for four years. Saw her almost every night at work but kept things strictly professional now. One night, after closing, she stayed late to help me clean up. I felt it was the right time to finally let go of all pretenses. Knew where this could lead, yet still decided against any kind of physical intimacy despite our mutual attraction. Just wanted closure, not more complication or regret. We ended up talking till dawn about everything from favorite drinks to fears for the future. It was therapeutic, maybe even healing in a way we both needed. Now I focus on the bar and the people there instead.
