Lecturing and Lusting

I'm a fifty-something professor at a prestigious university. My marriage has been stable for decades, but lately I've found myself drawn to the intellectual challenge of young minds in my lectures. Last week, during an afternoon class on existentialism, one particular student caught my attention, she was engaged and challenging the texts with brilliant insights, her passion clear from her demeanor. The moment she left the room, I felt a strange pull, as if our brief intellectual exchange had sparked something deeper within me. I've never experienced such an acute sense of longing for another adult in this setting before. Has anyone else ever found themselves unexpectedly attracted to someone they interact with professionally? It's intriguing but also unnerving.
