Went Back To A Former Flame For Some Fun

So, I recently got divorced after ten years of marriage and all that entails. Honestly, it was a relief to be single again. But then out of the blue, this former flame from college reaches out. We used to date back in our early twenties but broke up for stupid reasons. Anyway, she's in town for work and we meet up at her place one night. It’s been years since we’ve seen each other, but something about her energy brings back all those old memories. Before I know it, the conversation turns flirtatious and we start reminiscing about our past together. Then, out of nowhere, she asks if I want to make some of those college memories again. I admit, there was a moment where my brain flashed back to all the reasons why things didn’t work before. But then I thought, hey, it’s not like we’re dating or anything. It’s just sex between old friends who still have the chemistry. So after an hour of catching up over drinks, we decided to take that leap. It was a bit awkward at first, trying to recapture that spark without all the messy emotions and baggage from before. But somehow, it worked out better than expected. The next day, we both agreed it didn’t change anything about our current lives but it felt good to have had that moment of carefree connection again.
