Not Expected This

So last night, I was alone with the kids in bed. We were just cuddling and watching some kid stuff on TV when my phone buzzed with a text from this guy I hooked up with once. He was asking if I wanted to meet up for drinks or maybe something more casual tonight since I'm single now. And you know what? Part of me thought about it. Not really planning on doing anything, but the idea of him wanting me... It made me feel weirdly good. But then I looked over at my kids and remembered I’m their mom first. It’s crazy how easy it is to forget that sometimes.
