Little White Lie

I'm in a long-term relationship and recently had to tell my partner a little fib. We were planning our anniversary celebration, and she asked me where I was last Friday afternoon. I told her I was stuck at work but actually spent the day with one of my former patients. He's retired now and we just got coffee together while catching up. Not exactly cheating, just didn't want to deal with an awkward conversation. Silly little lie, right?
