i might have fibbed about the grocery bill

so i told my wife we had to put on a couple hundred extra for groceries this month but the thing is all that money went towards buying some new comics and boardgames. she was so stressed out with work stuff already, so i figured no need to add financial pressure too. ofc if it comes down to needing that money back or getting caught in my lie, i might just have to go through with selling off the new stuff but it feels kinda sad to think about. we both work hard for what little extras we can afford. i'm not sure how she would react tho - whether she'd be upset over me lying or actually proud of me being able to keep a hobby going in these crazy times. maybe im a bad person for this? probably should just tell her soon and take the hit to our budget but i dunno, maybe there's room somewhere to balance it out without hurting us financially too badly. i dont want my love of comics & games to be the thing that screws up our relationship though - so confused about how to proceed.
