A Petty Lie to My Ex

So I recently got divorced and am now engaged. One day, my ex sent me an old family photo for our kid's sake, asking if it was okay to keep it framed on the wall. It hadn't even crossed my mind until she brought it up. She knows about all the little lies we told each other during the marriage, so I decided to add one more, 'Sure, but remember, it’s from when I still loved you.' The lie felt petty and pointless, but somehow, it made me feel better in that moment.
