Just Another Day at the Coffee Shop, Right?

I've been working as a barista for almost two years now. I think I like it, I mean, there's a steady paycheck and I'm good with customers. But lately, this one guy keeps coming in every morning. He's always dressed nicely, you know, like he has somewhere important to be. And he's got these eyes that just kind of bore into me whenever we're talking about his order or whatever. Anyway, a couple weeks back, it happened again, he asked if I wanted my number. I laughed and said no way, but the idea didn't stop haunting me after. I mean, what was I thinking? It's not like there aren't other baristas out there, you know? But then yesterday happened. He walked in as usual, ordered his coffee, and sat at a table by himself staring out the window. And before I knew it, I was walking over to where he was sitting with my little notebook in hand but not writing anything down, just standing there awkwardly. He looked up and smiled, that same smile that always seems like it’s trying to say something more than just 'hi'. So we started talking about nothing really, weather, work stuff. And then somehow, I found myself telling him all these things about how much I hate my apartment lease ending in two months and wishing for a change. I don't know why I did that. Maybe it was the coffee he was drinking, or maybe I just needed to talk to someone who wasn’t my roommate. We ended up exchanging numbers after another ten minutes of just chatting about nonsense. He said we could catch up sometime if I ever wanted. And now here I am, still feeling weird about all this. Is it really a big deal? I mean, he's nice and everything, but is there even anything to feel guilty over? We're both adults, I think, but still, the whole thing just seems so strange and out of character for me.
