i lied about my socks

so this happened a few weeks ago and i just cant stop thinking about it. me and jane have been together for like 3 years now and we live in the same apartment but i dont always want to do housework and stuff so i kinda have this thing where i will wear old socks around the house instead of putting on fresh ones. one day, she came home from work early and caught me wearing these really old socks that i wore at least 5 times already, had holes in them, you know? and it was like, right then and there, i just blurted out this lie about how i lost my laundry basket and havent found a new one yet so ive been handwashing everything. yeah, i mean, i dont even handwash anything, its all machine washed. i feel bad because she didnt call me out on it right then, but the next day at dinner we were talking about chores and stuff and it kinda came up again and this time she was like "oh, so how long have you been handwashing anyway?" and i got super nervous and just told her everything. man, im such a liar for something that small and dumb. do you think shes gonna be mad or what?
