...Caught Between A Duty And Desire...

So, I'm a nurse and have been married for about five years now. We're happy together but sometimes I feel this uncontrollable urge to explore outside the marriage bed. It's crazy how one patient can change your whole perspective on life. This particular night, it was her eyes...staring at me through all my shifts like they were burning holes in my scrubs. She's a new resident here at the hospital and she’s just so vibrant and full of life, so different from our stable routine back home. It started off small, just late-night texts to reassure her that everything was okay with her health, which was why I had to keep checking up on her even after hours. And then one evening...I got a call asking me to come check something and instead of just leaving a note, I found myself in her room, my heart racing like it never has before. She looked at me and said that she felt safe with me... That's when it happened...our lips met and the electricity between us was palpable.
