A Moment of Insecurity

I am in my mid-40s, married to a wonderful woman for over two decades now. A few weeks ago, I was having dinner at an upscale restaurant and found myself comparing my achievements to those around me. I told a white lie about owning a luxury watch that cost far more than what I actually paid just to fit in with the conversation. It’s not like me at all, and I've been reflecting on why I felt insecure enough to fib.
