Experimenting with Boundaries

I'm married and have been for three years now. We both came into the relationship with fairly conservative views on sex, but we've always had an open line of communication about it. Recently, my spouse suggested we try something new, a blindfolded session where I would be in charge of guiding them through a sensual experience without seeing anything myself. It felt strange at first, this idea of relinquishing control and vulnerability to someone else, yet also exhilarating. We agreed on safe words and boundaries beforehand, which helped ease my nerves. During the actual encounter, I found myself both anxious about leading blindly and excited by the trust and intimacy it fostered between us. Reflecting on it now, I'm not sure if this newfound comfort with roleplay will stick or fade, it was a unique way to explore our relationship's dynamics without stepping into anything too far outside our comfort zones.
